Answered Prayers

We turn to prayer to help us out of a situation or to cause harm to others. We want something. To us, prayer is not a giving of thanks but a service to be performed by a deity. But what if the deity’s answer to our prayers is not what we want but what we deserve? Would we still pray if the result is from our nightmares and not from our dreams?
